Ode to Carly

today was a sad and glorious day
I said goodbye to my dear friend carly
oh yes, that was her name
i remember when she first came into my life
i gave her the name carly after carly simon
your so vain is the tune that filled my head
while we road together over the mountains
she was there for me during the worst times of my life
we danced together
I trusted her
my life was in her hands
she heard many scandalous conversations without
repeating any of my most sacred of desires
she comforted me when my heart was ripped out
over and over again
she was my constant
the only one
now i have a new relationship to replace that one
not sure of her name yet
i hope she can compare
no matter how close we become in the days to come
there will always be a special place in my heart
for my dear friend carly
i will miss you
i will miss terribly the camaro for which i so fittingly named....
